Space Research Team for Highschool Students!
|
Program Overview
Join a real aerospace project launching in Fall 2026 on a high-altitude research balloon led by experienced researchers and instructors. This summer, students will learn engineering skills such as 3D modeling, electronics, sensors, and payload design while working as a team to build a real scientific experiment. Participants will design and develop a payload that will fly on a research balloon in partnership with the Maryland Space Grant. Before flight, students will have the opportunity to present and defend their design to a panel of experts as part of the mission review process. This program is open to motivated high school students interested in space, engineering, and scientific research. Program Details Schedule: Saturdays, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Location: Severna Park Area Start Date: June 6, 2026 Tuition: $500 per student Launch: Fall 2026 High-Altitude Balloon Mission Spots are limited.
